Consulting
Our experienced team will focus on all facets of the business of Controlled Environment Agriculture production. We design and build but we also advise on location, crop selection, marketing, economic feasibility and potential profitability. You may not like what you hear, but it will be the truth.
Custom Containers
We figured out very early in the game that growing lettuce or basil in a 40′ shipping container farm and trying to sell it at the farmers market was not going to cut it. All of our Growtainer® projects have been for commercial clients, for Production, Tissue Culture, Propagation or Research.
Procurement
Over the years, we’ve developed relationships with some of the industries leading and most advanced technology suppliers. We maintain an agnostic attitude, we’re not paid by any manufacturer. Our suggestion will always be what’s best for the client and the crop.
Climate Chambers
CEA Advisors designed and built a large production facility in France for a Bio-Tech start-up. We assembled an international team of experts in LED lighting, Climate Control, Environmental Controls and even designed their proprietary fertigation system. A very successful result !
Design / Build
Retained by an EU client to design / build their facility. Flew to the EU, toured a few locations, chose the most appropriate, assembled a team of international experts, worked in Holland and online on the design and then managed the hands-on install on time and under budget a few months later.
About me.
Over 50 years of Global Horticulture experience. first, owning and operating Plant Shed, NYC’s Houseplant Supermarket, a major wholesale distributor of live plants and a high volume importer of lawn and garden products. Well known and well respected as one of the pioneers of the houseplant industry.
Since 1971, designing and building greenhouses, shade-houses, tree farms, foliage nurseries, importing plant material, exporting orchid plants and owning and operating successful horticultural ventures worldwide.
Since 2010, laser focused on Indoor Farming in warehouses and Container Farms. Only dealing with commercial clients and designing and building unique facilities. We’re proud to have successfully completed projects for Pharmaceutical manufacturers, Supermarket chains, Growers, investors, Biotech start-ups, Universities and some of the world’s Ag industry icons.
